Meet Mathew
Hi, I'm Mathew — the person behind Tempo Bodywork, and someone who's seen firsthand what the right touch can do.
Twenty years in the corporate world took a toll — on my health, my stress levels, and the people I love. Bodywork was the thing that turned it all around for me — and that's why I do this work now: sharing what I've learned, and helping others find their way back too.
Every session draws on my training across Remedial Massage, Relaxation Massage, Craniosacral Therapy and Myofascial Release, shaped around what your body needs, not a fixed routine.
Come and experience it for yourself — let's restore your natural rhythm.

Services I Provide
Tailored Bodywork Sessions
Tailored bodywork for tension, stress, pain and recovery.
Your session is designed around you, not a pre-set treatment menu.
Book by duration, and let your body guide the experience.
Techniques may include:
Remedial Massage
Relaxation Massage
Craniosacral Therapy
Myofascial Release
Health Fund Rebates available on Remedial Massage.
Remedial Massage
Relieve pain and restore movement. Remedial Massage addresses muscle tension, injury, and postural imbalances through tailored techniques that work deep into the muscles and connective tissue.
Ideal for chronic pain, sports injuries, headaches, and everyday stress, remedial massage helps improve circulation, reduce stiffness, and support faster recovery—so your body can move freely again.
Health Fund Rebates available for most private health funds.
Relaxation Massage
A Relaxation Massage that soothes the body and nourishes the soul. Performed on an electric Massage Table using high-quality oils, your comfort is my priority. Essential Oils and Solfeggio Frequencies are used to further enhance your body's opportunity to relax, release and recharge.
Craniosacral Therapy
A gentle, manual therapy that addresses chronic tension and energetic constrictions in the body. The release of these restrictions improve cerebrospinal fluid circulation, deeply relaxing and balancing the central nervous system and in turn, helping to alleviate physical and emotional ailments.
Myofascial Release Bodywork
A slow, targeted therapy that works beyond the muscles to release restrictions in the fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds and supports your body.
Using sustained pressure and precise techniques, this treatment eases chronic pain, improves mobility, and restores natural alignment. It’s especially effective for long-standing tension, postural issues, repetitive strain, and restricted movement patterns.
Ideal for those seeking deeper, longer-term results, Deep Myofascial Release helps your body unwind, reset, and move with greater freedom.

Frequently Asked Questions
Not sure how long to book for? Here's a simple way to choose the session that best fits your needs and your body.
30 Minutes — Perfect for a single trouble spot when you're short on time — a stiff neck, tight shoulders, or a quick tension reset before you get on with your day. Studio only.
60 Minutes — Great for regular maintenance, easing tension in spots like the neck, shoulders, or lower back, and giving your body an effective, well-rounded reset.
90 Minutes — A wonderful middle ground, with time to work through the whole body while giving extra care to areas that need it most. If you're holding tension in more than one place or want to leave feeling deeply relaxed, this is a favourite choice.
120 Minutes — This is your chance to truly slow down. Ideal for chronic tension, high stress, or when your body needs extra attention. The pace is unhurried, the work is deeper, and the result is a fully restored, deeply relaxed you.

Recommended Frequency
Maintenance: every 3–4 weeks
Recovery: every 2–3 weeks, for recurring tension
Deep Restoration: every 1–2 weeks, for chronic stress or tightness
Why Consistency Matters
Maintains tension release and mobility
Supports better sleep and stress reduction
Keeps muscles and joints functioning optimally
Promotes long-term physical and mental wellbeing
Clients who book consistently tend to see results faster — and hold onto them for longer.
Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive, hands-on therapy that supports the body's own self-healing mechanisms — reducing pain and restoring balance throughout the body.
The body naturally compensates for stress, injury, and illness, but over time that ability can become compromised — disrupting the natural rhythm of cerebrospinal fluid and affecting nervous system function. Gentle manipulations help restore that rhythm, improving circulation and easing both physical and emotional tension.
Sessions take place on a massage table, with light touches applied to the head, spinal column, sacrum, and other key points.
Many clients experience a greater sense of calm, clarity, and presence afterwards. This safe, supportive process allows for the release of deep-seated tension and emotion held within the body.
A simple example: you trip and fall. Your body takes on physical stress from the impact, but also emotional stress from the shock to your nervous system. Instinct tells us to dust ourselves off and move on — but that stress often never gets fully processed. Over time, these small, unresolved stresses build up, like a spring winding tighter and tighter, potentially affecting the whole body, including the immune system.
Now imagine that happening, in small ways, over an entire lifetime. Craniosacral Therapy can help address a wide range of physical and emotional concerns — from chronic pain to immune-related issues — while promoting relaxation and emotional release.
The best way to know if it's right for you? Give it a try.
Upon arrival at Tempo Bodywork, you'll be welcomed into my studio, where we'll sit and have a brief chat about why you've come and what you're hoping to get from the treatment.
Once we've decided on a course of action, you're welcome to use the bathroom and shower facilities if you need to, then it's time to begin.
A note on undressing: new clients often get a little anxious at this stage — Can I leave my clothes on? What do I need to take off? Do I need to be naked? Take a breath — the level of undress is completely up to you, and you'll always be draped with towels or a sarong to preserve your modesty, no matter what you choose.
That said, I'd genuinely encourage being fully undressed if you're comfortable with it — it makes for a smoother, more effective treatment for both of us, without needing to work around clothing. You'll be draped throughout regardless, so modesty is never a concern. If you'd rather keep some clothing on, that's completely fine too — just know that being undressed isn't something to feel nervous about here.
Now that the hard part's out of the way, we can get down to business. Soft music, dimmed lighting, and diffused essential oils help set the tone for a treatment aimed at deeply relaxing you.
For Massage: unless otherwise discussed, I use massage oil and generally work your back, shoulders, neck, arms, hands, legs, and glutes — these "backside" muscles carry more tension than most people expect. If anything feels uncomfortable, just let me know — your comfort is always the priority. Time permitting, the session may finish with a face and scalp massage.
For Craniosacral Therapy: once you're on the table, I'll guide you through the treatment, and may ask you to shift position so I can work along your spinal column and sacrum. This therapy affects everyone differently — you might feel tingling, warmth, cold, emotion, or even involuntary movement. Just go with it and stay present in your body. You're in a safe space, and I'll help guide the process as your body finds its natural balance again.
Afterwards, you'll be encouraged to sit up slowly and we'll check in on how you're feeling. Bathroom and shower facilities are available again if needed, and I'll bring you some water so you can take your time getting dressed and easing back into the day — hopefully leaving feeling relaxed and ready to go.
